Gem O’Reilly of BBC London News visited MU HQ in the Oval this afternoon to film an interview with my London Regional colleague Natalie Witts about busking in Westminster and the Council’s proposals for licensing performers in four areas in the Borough. The Council says it receives around 1,800 complaints a year about noise, but acknowledges the relevant performers who generate such issues are in a small minority and the overwhelming majority follow the existing rules. A decision on licensing will be taken later this year.
