Ben starred as Beckenham CC 5th XI, led masterfully by skipper and wicketkeeper Peter Lee, scored an important away victory this afternoon in Dulwich over league rivals Streatham & Marlborough CC.
Becks set a steady total of 199 during their 40 overs, with Guarav Sharma posting a superb 85 not out. Streatham fell short in their run chase to 139 all out in just 33 overs, thanks to some excellent work in the field by the entire team and match winning bowling from Ramesh Solanki and Ben, both of whom took 3 wickets.
Ben captured their top scorer Sundar Viswanathan when on a threatening 56, and also took an important catch to remove opener Neil Cook.
