A very pleasant lunch with my former MU colleague Pete Thoms today at The Rose in London Bridge. I worked alongside Pete for many years at the Union as he successfully fulfilled the vital role of Sessions Official. Great to catch up with all his current news and activities.
Pete first came to prominence with the art rock explorers Landscape in the late 70s, who found fame in the charts with ‘Einstein A Go Go’ in 1981.
A new five CD box set featuring the music of the synth-pop pioneers was issued during the summer. Landscape A Go-Go: The Story of Landscape includes expanded and remastered versions of the group’s first three albums plus two additional CDs featuring EPs, remixes, B-sides, instrumentals and live tracks.
(Pete is second left in the photo of the band).
