Another thought-provoking evening courtesy of the Featured Artists Coalition as the trade body hosted its AGM at Cambridge Audio in London Bridge. The event was kicked off by Chair Dave Rowntree, drummer with Blur, and followed by firstly the formal proceedings of the meeting and then a ‘Year in Review’ panel discussion led by NME’s News Editor Andrew Trendell and featuring artists SOFY, Olive Jones, Levina and DonaeāO.
It was a pleasure to catch up with the Coalition’s CEO David Martin, PPL chief Peter Leathem, Americana star Daisy Chute, Royal Society colleague Orphy Robinson, plus to meet – for the first time – company director Alan Cable and the delightful ‘Queen of Uncool’, Dee James.
