My new job title of PR & Marketing Official and responsibilities were confirmed today by the Executive Committee of the Musicians’ Union at its monthly meeting in London and these are outlined below.
I had already been performing many of the duties since the turn of the year and with the growth of our team in February – now called the Communications & Government Relations Dept – to four full-time members of staff, I am delighted the changes have been authorised.
Previously, I was the MU’s Comms Official for fourteen years from January 2004 and a London Branch Officer for five years from January 1999 to December 2003.
