The annual exhibition for anyone interested in recording techniques and equipment was held at the Emirates Stadium over the last two days. Hosted and organised by Jason Hunt of Torn and Frayed Ltd, the show gives those who spend their time or make their living in the recording world the change to try out new gear, network and exchange experiences. I chaired a seminar entitled ‘Making a living as the studio: as a producer, engineer or musician’ at midday in Hall 1 alongside a hugely experienced panel consisting of producer, writer and vocalist Greg Fitzgerald, Wonder Stuff lead man Miles Hunt and his partner, musician and singer Erica Nockalls, plus respected soundtrack composer and producer Robin Rimbaud. Thanks to everyone involved and the audience who contributed to a productive and successful event.
