Music Education Expo

I have had overall logistical responsibility for the MU stand at the Music Education Expo for the last two days. The Expo, held at London’s Barbican, is the UK’s largest exhibition and conference for music teachers and managed by Rhinegold Publishing. Over two days, teachers benefit from a choice of over 50 conference sessions, networking opportunities with 2,500 other teachers, and a trade exhibition with over 130 stands. As one of the sponsors, the MU had a prime position in the Exhibition Hall and I joined my MU colleagues Diane Widdison, Bindu Paul and Florence Morris in welcoming our activists – including flautist Ruth Ballantyne – members such as noted jazz trumpeter Sue Richardson and industry contacts such as Wayne Lee (son of top guitarist Albert). My thanks to stand builders ProMedia for their valuable support and efficiency before and after another successful event.
