My son Ben and I received a warm welcome from all the staff and teachers at the National Learn to Play Day event at Bromley Youth Music Trust’s base in Southborough Lane this afternoon. A delight to witness some fine playing by the Trust’s orchestra and rock bands. Ben tried his hand at timpani, drums and percussion, while the performance by the local piano tutors of the Hawaii Five O and James Bond themes proved a particular highlight.
