I dropped into the Acoustic Show at Olympia this afternoon. The two-day event is being organised by Future plc for the first time, following their buyout of the previous organisers, Blaze Publishing.
Great to say hello to long-time friend and guitarist Alan Scally who was promoting Takamine Guitars, and Steve Harvey – former editor of Acoustic magazine – who now works with Martin Guitars. Artists of note appearing over the weekend included Turin Brakes and the rising star, Blair Dunlop. I will be back on site in November for the London Drum Show, also being organised by Future.
