A highly enjoyable day at John Thirkell’s studio in Buckinghamshire, as we collectively checked out both his superb contributions to the Waterloo Sunrise album and the collection as a whole. John plays trumpet and flugelhorn horn on the trio of tracks that make up the heart of the set: Love on a summer’s day, Farewell to your valentine and Promises at Midnight.
John has been a highly successful musician in the live and recording sectors, playing with George Michael, Tina Turner, Jamiroquai, UB40 and many other star names. Do check out his credits list, it is hugely impressive!
