The winter issue of the MU’s award-winning quarterly journal, The Musician, is being distributed this week and is set to arrive with all MU members this weekend. The latest issue, my 36th as editor, contains a major profile interview with James Dean Bradfield of the Manic Street Preachers and a cover feature exploring the value of Spotify to working musicians. The contents also include an advice piece on the latest promotional ideas for artists, a report on the Union’s work in the LGBT arena, a feature marking the first anniversary of the Live Music Act, the results of the autumn Executive election plus a profile of the Monteverdi Orchestra.
