It was a pleasure to attend long-term friends Julian & Julie Clapson’s 30th anniversary celebration at Greshams in Ipswich this weekend. (I recall their wedding day well as I travelled from Bournemouth by train on the day and had to leave the reception early for a work appointment).
Arranged by their daughters, Siobhan and Briony, the event was a great opportunity to not only meet their family once more, but a chance to catch up with some former colleagues from my days working in Ipswich during the early 1980s. The event featured a performance by excellent rock covers band, Blue Print, who ensured the event matched Julian’s taste in melodic hard rock. My family and I completed the weekend by visiting Felixstowe Carnival on Sunday.
