Straight on from the TUC event last night, David Parker (from publisher Future Fusion) and I caught a rockin’ gig at The Borderline featuring all-girl guitar and drums band JOANovARC with guests John Altman (of Nick Cotton fame), Dave ‘Bucket’ Colwell (ex-Bad Company), singer Adam Barron (Mick Ralphs band) and Jackie Chambers (Girlschool). The band was on cracking form and delivered a superb blend of originals (Live Rock’n’Roll always a highlight) plus classic covers galore: Whole Lotta Love, Highway to Hell, I love Rock’n’Roll, even Freebird! Wonderful to catch up with Jackie afterwards, having not seen her for many years. My thanks to JOANovARC’s excellent drummer Debs Wildish for putting us on the list!
