Erica Nockalls and her dynamic and edgy four-piece band played at the Islington Academy tonight in support of the resurgent Wonder Stuff, who themselves are on tour promoting their latest album. Erica’s album, Imminent Room, was released on 1 April and the conservatoire-trained violinist, guitarist and visual artist is now focusing on her own up-to-the-minute originals having just returned from a European tour with Fink, with whom she played violin and viola. Erica has also been busy with session work, having recorded strings for the latest Ting Tings album, ‘Sounds From Nowheresville’.
