St Paul’s Concert

Laura Westcott of Soundcheque Ltd kindly invited me this evening to St Paul’s, the actors’ church in Covent Garden, for an emotional concert being held for the benefit of Nordoff Robbins and various music therapy and mental health charities.

I arrived later than planned from the UK Music event  and sadly missed the earlier artists – electric harpist Lisa Canny, London’s a cappella choir ‘Stelle Cadente,’ and classical-crossover pianist from Russia, GéNIA – however I did catch Liverpool’s superb singer/guitarist Joe Slater and the soul/gospel of Croydon’s  CoffeePot Drive. All of whom ensured this key charity raiser not only collected valuable funds for the chosen charities, but also sent the enthralled audience into the December night with seasonal cheer.
