Julie, Ben and I could be found at Beckenham Cricket Club in Foxgrove Road in the summer sunshine today for the T20 Kent Cricket Finals.
Four teams had reached the semis (Tunbridge Wells, Blackheath, Sandwich Town and Mote CC, Maidstone) and Tunbridge proved a very strong outfit, disposing of Blackheath in their semi, before Sandwich won through to the afternoon’s final by defeating the Mote. The final was a keenly fought affair, but the pace bowling and well-drilled performance in the field of Tunbridge won the trophy. There was a good crowd in attendance, with the burger and banger BBQ proving very popular. An enjoyable Sunday.
