The impending start of the cricket season often generates a flurry of action at Beckenham Cricket Club and so Ben, Julie and I could be found in the sunshine at Foxgrove Road for the annual ‘Ground Force Day.’
An upbeat and willing team gathered in the nets area to construct a new mobile ‘cage’, which could be wheeled onto the square for pre-match practice. This proved an interesting challenge, but we collectively completed the task in the glorious April warmth with humour and commitment.
