While in Liverpool, I took the opportunity to visit one or two lesser-known Beatle haunts. In particular, I really enjoyed Ye Cracke in Rice Street, a favourite of John Lennon in his student days and where John took Cynthia on their first date. The pub hasn’t changed much and it remains a characterful and welcoming place for an evening drink.
