There’s always tomorrow

You wake up to find Johnny’s crying
and so you rise
wiping the sleep from your eyes.

You comfort the child ‘til he’s sleeping
and as you stare
at your angel lying there:

You turn the ring on your finger,
you turn a key in the door.
If only you knew what tomorrow
held in store.

There’s always tomorrow,
always.

You treasure the words in the letter
that came to say
he died fighting on the day.

You look at your face in the mirror
and then you stare
at your angel lying there.

You turn the ring on your finger,
you turn a key in the door.
If only you knew what tomorrow
held in store.

There’s always tomorrow,
always.

You turn the ring on your finger,
you turn a key in the door.
If only you knew what tomorrow
held in store.

There’s always tomorrow,
always tomorrow.
