A proud moment last night as Ben received a special presentation from the Mayor of Croydon. 15 cadets from across the Borough and the Army, Navy, Air Force, Police and St Johns’ Ambulance, had been selected for the Greater London Cadet/Young People Awards.
The nomination by his Detachment leader was as follows:
“Cadet LCpl Ames has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication, reliability, and effectiveness in his role within the Army Cadet Force. His unwavering commitment to the Force is evident in his constant willingness to volunteer for tasks, often being the first to step forward.
“His proficiency in physical tasks is commendable, always eager to participate and contribute, demonstrating a level of physical fitness and determination that is truly inspiring. His enthusiasm is infectious, encouraging others to participate and fostering a positive and energetic environment.
“In addition to his physical prowess, Cadet LCpl Ames has proven to be an effective trainer and mentor. His ability to guide and support younger cadets has been instrumental in their development and growth within the Force. His approachable nature and patience made him a trusted figure within the Cadets, who look up to him as a role model.
“His contributions to the Army Cadet Force extend beyond his duties, embodying the values and ethos of the ACF. Cadet LCpl Ames is a testament to the potential of every cadet, demonstrating what can be achieved with dedication, hard work, and a positive attitude.
“For these reasons, we recognize and commend Cadet LCpl Ames for this outstanding service and contributions to the Army Cadet Force. His actions serve as an example to all, embodying the spirit of the Force and setting a standard for all cadets to aspire to. We are proud to have Cadet LCpl Ames as part of our team and look forward to his continued contributions in the future.”
