Julie and I made the short trip to Crystal Palace Park this afternoon for one of the local outdoor concerts being held over the summer featuring major names from across the music industry. On this occasion the headliners were Snow Patrol and we also caught The Editors and Amy Macdonald (of This is the Life fame) amongst the supporting acts.
Gary Lightbody was greeted as a returning hero and led the current line up of Snow Patrol through a set peppered with classic radio hits and crowd pleasers:

At this stage, Gary announced the introduction of a very special guest and onto the stage came Kylie Minogue who joined the band for two tracks – the first of which, These Alarms, is a new single. This was quickly followed by a moving version of the wonderful Chasing Cars.
The set ended with You’re All I Have and encores of What If This Is All the Love You Ever Get? and Just Say Yes.
A superb performance.
