I joined Naomi Pohl, MU General Secretary, conductor Jack Apperley and photographer Joanna Dudderidge at BBC Broadcasting House in Portland Place at midday, to support the presentation of the petition to Director General Tim Davie calling for the secure future of the BBC Singers.
Jack had launched the petition and had completed a superb task in collecting over 150,000 signatories who wished to express their anger at the BBC proposal to end the ninety-nine year history of the UK’s only full-time, fully professional chamber choir.
