During the England v Pakistan second test match being played in Dubai, the BBC Sport team covering the match asked cricket followers – in light of the clocks going back last night – to which cricket event they would like to travel in time. I contributed via Twitter saying my choice would be to see my relative Les Ames score his record 123 against South Africa at the Oval in 1935. This is the most runs scored by an Englishman before lunch in a test match. The team added this to the official newsfeed and added a picture of Les behind the stumps too.
