I joined members of the local Labour Party this evening at Ruskin House in Croydon, as Yvette Cooper MP addressed those in attendance about current party policies and the state of politics in general.
I asked here, in a light-hearted moment, had the Party decided upon the theme song that would accompany the Labour victory next year? Bearing in mind D:Ream’s ‘Things can only get better’ was omnipresent in 1997. Yvette quickly and appropriately answered, ‘At last’ by Etta James!
