UK Music Reception

I was invited by UK Music and Nigel Adams MP to a Reception on the Terrace at the House of Commons this evening, principally to mark the publication of the organisation’s report, ‘Wish You Were Here‘, an economic study that reveals the vast contribution of music tourism to the UK economy.

A busy Terrace was populated by a cross-section from the industry, with business executives, journalists and trade body representatives mingling with artists and musicians, including Wilko Johnson, Pink Floyd’s Nick Mason, Bugzy Malone, Sandie Shaw, Simon Rix of the Kaiser Chiefs and writer/performer Emily Saunders. Great to catch up with so many people during the evening, as well as meet new contacts including Generator deputy CEO, Jo Thornton.
