The Musician, the journal I have edited since 2005, has claimed the crown for the best journal/magazine at the annual TUC Trade Union Communications Awards which took place in London tonight. The judges, including Shadow Secretary of State for Health John Healey, found the publication to be ‘packed with appealing, relevant content, which was beautifully laid out and easy to read…well-written and weighty, full of fact-filled articles and useful information.’ The MU comms work was further recognised by being Highly Commended for both a feature on visually impaired musicians and our Live Music Kit.
