A great day at Sunningdale Golf Club in Surrey, where I played, at CEO Peter Leathem’s invitation, in the PPL team in the 10th Nordoff Robbins Golf Classic. I joined Peter in a four-ball, better-ball, with Neil Allcock (UK Media lead for Deloitte) and Nick Hartley of Pias.com for 18 holes around the Old Course in the morning.
We played well in parts, but finished 7th out of 18 teams with our 84 points in the final reckoning. Congratulations to Handle Recruitment for winning the competition and taking home the coveted trophy. After a marvellous lunch of salmon and chicken, and the fundraising auction and raffle hosted by Chair Nick Stewart, we set off in the late afternoon around the New Course to take full advantage of the wonderful surroundings.
My thanks to Peter and my playing partners for a delightful day and well done to sponsors Live Nation and everyone involved in organising the event, which has impressively raised over £210,000 since its inception.
