An excellent evening at Dickens Inn, St Katherine’s Dock in the company of Hencilla Canworth, the MU’s preferred insurance broker and their underwriters, Allianz. The team quiz they arrange has become a popular and keenly fought annual event and I am pleased to report that one of the MU teams, of which I was a part, took first place in the individual team category.
Our winning line-up consisted of General Secretary John Smith and his wife Sandra, Assistant General Secretary David Ashley, John’s PA Jane Austin, David’s PA Lynn Calvin and myself. We won by 2 points with a total of 80. Congratulations also go to BECS, who won the overall team prize. The final order for this is calculated by averaging the number of teams, the number of players and their points tally achieved.
