A lovely day spent at the home of cricket at the invitation of Ivor Adair, Principal Lawyer with Slater & Gordon, who kindly arranged for myself and MU colleagues Jamie Pullman and Neil Wright to attend the third test between England and Sri Lanka.
Although the weather had threatened to be overcast, in fact the sun shone on our position in the East Stand and we were blessed with a glorious afternoon. The match itself proved hard work for the bowlers and whilst Jonny Bairstow scored a superb 167 not out, a draw always looked likely. Our thanks to Ivor for the tickets and the plentiful supply of drinks!
