A very enjoyable few hours in Soho courtesy of two invitations. Firstly, I attended the annual lunch arranged by magazine publishers Future, to gather all those involved in booking advertising in the music titles throughout the year. My thanks to Guy Meredith, Lara Jaggon and the team for the excellent drinks and meal at the Karma Sanctum Hotel in Warwick Street. It was a particular pleasure to catch up with Korg’s Alan Scally.
Meanwhile, long-term contact Sue Harris of Republic PR had also invited me tonight to Gerry’s Bar in Dean Street, where spirited jazz vocalist Ian Shaw was launching his new album, Greek Street Friday, accompanied by ace pianist Jamie Safir. Thanks everyone!
