I visited the Hospital Club in Covent Garden tonight with Jonathan Stewart and my MU colleague Autumn Sharkey, as we had been kindly invited by Shlomo and his partner Michelle to capture a performance of his new material in a band setting.
It was a pleasure to meet his band, which now includes multi-instrumentalist Tom McConnell, as Shlomo – previously best known for his world-renowned beatboxing skills – is relaunching as an electronic singer/writer/vocalist.
After the gig, and having said goodbye to Jonathan and Autumn, I walked to Bar Italia in Soho for a late night coffee before returning to Trentishoe Mansions at 90 Charing Cross Road where I was staying for the night.
