Evelyn Glennie was announced as the King’s Cross / PRS Foundation Composer in Residence at the PRS offices in Two Pancras Square tonight.
At a bustling event, which was attended by many faces from the business, Vanessa Reed (PRS CEO), David Foster (Managing Director of sponsor Lark Insurance) and Evelyn spoke of the year-long project and its enterprising aims bringing together the people, the sounds and the history of the N1 area. It was good to catch up with my MU colleague Diane Widdison, pianist Neil Cowley, saxophonist Jason Yarde, journalist Kevin LeGendre and to meet Mykaell Riley of the Westminster School of Media, Arts & Design and Chris Hurne of the Dept for International Trade.
