Production Awards

The Production Music Awards celebrate the best production music libraries and most talented composers during the previous twelve months. The organisers’ goal is to offer libraries, large and small, an opportunity to share the depth and quality of modern production music with the wider sync, media and advertising industries.

The Awards ceremony took place this evening at 8 Northumberland Avenue, off Trafalgar Square, and I attended in the company of my colleague from the MU’s Recording & Broadcasting Dept, Michael Sweeney. As the Union was one of the principal sponsors we had a prime table in front of the stage, which we shared with representatives from Spitfire Audio. It was great to catch up trumpeter, composer and arranger Guy Barker during the evening, plus meet Tim Benjamin who took the PRS Music Foundation Award for Best Newcomer.
