A night out for my wife Julie and I at Bromley’s Churchill Theatre and, whilst Will Young and Louise Redknapp were performing in Cabaret in the main auditorium, we had tickets for ‘Comedy Round Mine‘ in the downstairs bar. This is a monthly event featuring rising stars on the circuit, hosted by regular local MC, Carly Smallman.
First up was psychic comedian, or co-medium as he calls himself, Peter Antoniou. Part of his act involved choosing three men from the audience and I ended up during the final part of this segment alone on stage with Peter as he attempted to ‘read my mind.’ Successfully I should add! An interesting experience.
All the acts were entertaining, with headline act Javier Jarquin proving particularly engaging with a mix of political and risqué lines. I am sure we will be attending this club again.
