My thanks to Peter Leathem, Jonathan Morrish, Fiona Haycock and all at PPL for a very enjoyable reception and party at The Avenue at 7 St James’s St today. It was a pleasure to meet Maggie Crowe OBE (Director of Events and Charities at the BPI), former MU General Secretary Dennis Scard, Music Week publisher Dave Roberts, Director of Anti-Piracy at the BPI, Dave Wood, trumpeter and Jazz Services supremo Chris Hodgkins, ex-Labour Party MP Bob Blizzard, plus violinist Pat Halling, who featured on All you need is love amongst many legendary tracks during his acclaimed career.
