A busy day, which began with an early visit to Printstore in Kingston to drop off MU promo materials and merchandise. These were added to the newly printed posters and postcards and boxed-up ready for delivery to the International Centre in Bournemouth this weekend in time for the start of next week’s NEU Conference.
I then collected photographer Jonathan Stewart and we drove to Snowsfields in London Bridge, where the senior MU Executive Committee (EC) members were meeting with General Secretary Naomi Pohl. This offered the opportunity to photograph the new team at the top of the Union, namely Naomi, Assistant General Secretary Phil Kear, EC Chair Alex Gascoine of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, plus Vice Chairs drummer and educator Rick Finlay, jazz vocalist and choir leader And Hopgood and orchestral violinist Eileen Spencer.
