MU Regional network

MU Regional network

The Musicians’ Union regional network is central to its democratic structure and the delivery of valued support and services to members across the UK. The six Regions are based in offices in Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham and Cardiff, whilst the MU’s office in London provides a home for both the London and East & South East England Regions.

Whilst in Manchester for the Party Conference, I was able to pass by the North of England office and although the respected team is mostly working from home at present, it was heartening to acknowledge the local base of the Union, and to be reminded once more that the organisation was founded in the city by clarinettist Joseph Williams in May 1893.
