I travelled into town from Beckenham Cricket Club this afternoon, where Ben was playing in a friendly match, to meet photographer Jonathan Stewart and live jazz aficionado Mark Batchelor in Soho.
Legendary session guitarist Mitch Dalton was playing the Pizza Express basement club in Dean Street from 8pm, in the top class company of piano and keyboard player David Arch (of Strictly fame), bassist Steve Pearce, drummer Tim Goodyear, and saxophonist/flautist Sammy Mayne.
A relaxing evening as the band exquisitely performed a set of instrumental classics including Moondance, The Look of Love and George Benson’s Before You Go.
