Many of the UK’s top musical instrument dealers and industry names were at today’s MI Retail Conference and Expo at Whittlebury Hall, in Northamptonshire. The Conference in the morning proved very popular, while the afternoon’s Expo – featuring over 25 manufacturers and distributors – encouraged the majority of delegates to stay for the whole event. My MU colleague Simon Bull, Head of Membership Development, and I ran a stand and met numerous musicians and business reps. The evening saw a keenly contested Battle of the Bands, which was won by the superb and entertaining trio from Cheshire, Fantasist.
