A lovely few days in the Scottish Borders with Julie and Ben, as we visited my sister and brother-in-law in Bowden, near Melrose. This gave us the opportunity to benefit from a number of hill walks, including a climb to the William Wallace statue (albeit in the rain), strolls along the bank of the Tweed, plus a three hour guided tour of the Roman camp at Trimontium.
We also took advantage of the timing of our trip to book several events at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this afternoon. Namely, the Agent November ‘secret room’ challenge at the New Town Theatre; the Black Blues Brothers show at the Assembly Rooms; and The Impro All Stars at the Frankenstein Beer Keller. A superb time all round.
