An MU team could be found at Kindred PR’s offices in Horseferry Road, SW1 today, as General Secretary Horace Trubridge, Deputy General Secretary Naomi Pohl, National Organiser for Orchestras Jo Laverty and National Organiser for Recording & Broadcasting Phil Kear and myself spent several hours in a media training session.
This was led by experienced former BBC journalist, editor and producer Cathy Packe and Kindred Associate Director Bethan Davies. Cathy led my colleagues through a series of practice TV interviews, radio interviews and soundbites, with each segment recorded so that the performances could be played back, analysed, and recommendations for future media opportunities given.
A very useful and informative day and a second session with another four colleagues will be arranged in the coming weeks.
