Vocalist Margo Buchanan played a great set to an appreciative audience at the Green Note in Camden tonight. Fronting a four-piece keys/guitar/bass/drums band led by her husband Wix Wickens (Paul McCartney’s MD), and boasting Robbie McIntosh on lead guitar, Margo ran through tracks from her album “I should have done this years ago’, plus a number of new songs and a couple of tastefully arranged covers. I watched the gig from the bar in the excellent company of Mark Cunningham and his daughter Rosalie, who told me of the pending dissolution of her band Purson and her hopes for the future. A memorable evening all round.
