Following our visit to TUC Congress House, my MU colleague Jane Austin and I arranged to be shown around Kings Place in York Way, Kings Cross, NW1. An area I know well, having walked down that road many times – mostly at night – on my way back to Fitzroy Square from North London Polytechnic in the late 1970s.
We are researching possible venues for the MU Delegate Conference 2021, should a physical space be the chosen option. This is appearing increasingly unlikely, but we need to be prepared in case lockdown is truly lifted and the MU Executive opt for a traditional event. We were given a tour of the excellent building by events manager Rebecca Harris, who did a fine job in introducing us to all the available spaces. I am sure we will be booking Kings Place at some stage in the future for an MU event of one kind or other.
