Mark Batchelor and I dropped into the Hippodrome in Leicester Square tonight to catch Lizzie Dean and a big band performing at the lounge bar in the Casino. We also met Lizzie’s partners in The Rockabellas, Pippa Gearing and Sarah Formosa.
The trio are ‘Today’s answer to The Andrews Sisters, with their killer heels, killer curves and killer harmonies and combine stunning close harmony vocals with bespoke big band arrangements, cute choreography and top to toe pin up couture.’ Afterwards Mark and I visited the Ivy Club and said a brief hello to Graham Norton and resident pianist Joe Thompson and his band.
