It’s Friday night, we’re in the private room at Dickens Inn in St Katherine’s Dock, so it must be the annual Hencilla Quiz!
The MU fielded three teams again this year and I returned – after missing last year’s bash – to join John Smith, Sandra Smith, David Ashley, Jane Austin and Lynn Calvin in our previously victorious team. We put up a good fight once again, but finished equal third, five points behind Equity’s Bearded Weirdoes. Thanks to the combined efforts of our teams, the MU finished second in the overall competition behind Prospect/BECTU.
Our thanks to Andrew, Kevin and the workforce from Hencilla who hosted a rollicking evening with stacks of pizza and a free bar throughout.
