Julie, Ben and I drove to Greenwich this afternoon and although it was overcast and threatening rain, enjoyed a walk along the riverbank and through the bustling post-Christmas market.
Feeling that we hadn’t taken advantage of the free time to its fullest, we then drove to Covent Garden and walked across the piazza to Masala Zone in Floral Street, where delicious Thalis were the order of the day.
This opportunity had only arisen as the planned Hayes’ family golf day at Betchworth in Dorking had been abandoned thanks to the previous night’s storm and the course being closed as a result. Let’s hope the weather gods are more benign in the New Year.
