This year’s Gold Badge Awards dinner and ceremony were held today at the Savoy Hotel and I was delighted to be on the MU table with award winner Guy Barker, the highly-respected trumpeter, composer and arranger. Also great company on our table were Guy’s guests, John Cumming and Amy Pearce of Serious – the jazz producers and promoters – plus the acclaimed actor Janie Dee. Among the other award winners were Bill Wyman, Bonnie Tyler, Don Letts and Johnnie Walker. It was a great pleasure to also meet many of the name guests attending, especially musician, writer and Fleetwood Mac star, Christine McVie.
