Another rewarding day at Cumberwell Park, the challenging golf centre at Bradford-on-Avon just outside Bath, in aid of the Bath Cancer Support Group & Dorothy House. I had played in the competition, organised by Sarah and Neil Davies, in 2017 and 2018 and it was very pleasant to compete in its first return after the pandemic.
I played encouragingly well for the first nine, scoring 20 Stableford points, and was particularly pleased with a drive and 7 iron to four feet on the 6th. However, I tired in the second half and whilst finishing in the top ten, I did feel I let a chance to post a high score slip away.
My thanks to my playing partners and everyone I met on the day. Plus many congratulations to Sarah and Neil who have raised over £15,000 for the worthy causes down the years.
