This afternoon my MU colleague Maddy Radcliff and I visited The Blues Kitchen in Curtain Road, Shoreditch, to be present at the cover shoot for the autumn 2016 issue of The Musician.
The excellent photographic team from publishers Future Fusion were already set up in the basement and capturing our cover star, Nubya Garcia, of jazz outfit Nerija.
An enjoyable session ensued and our particular thanks go to Nubya for her enthusiasm plus kudos to the welcoming staff at the Kitchen – an excellent venue with characterful decor and roots music themes around the walls.
The magazine is due for distribution to over 30,000 working musicians in the second week of September.
