I spent the first two days in June proof reading and marking-up the MU Conference Report, the comprehensive review of the work of the Union’s Executive Committee over the last two years. The content is collated and prepared by the General Secretary and the remainder of the production is administered by John Smith’s PA, Jane Austin.
Jane, MU Administration Manager Lisa Barry, and I today visited the venue for the biennial Conference, the Brighton Hilton Metropole Hotel. As we held the 2015 event at the same hotel, it was a straightforward process to refamiliarise ourselves with the rooms and facilities on site. Our thanks to Events Manager Sara Holland and the Audio/Visual team of Sandy Matthews and Oliver Friend for their excellent hospitality.
